The Pro Leather debuted in 1976 and was immediately embraced by the biggest stars of the game, most memorably by Julius "Dr. J" Erving.
Over time, tweaks, changes, even overhauls were made to the shoe. Now, Converse is returning the Pro Leather to its original form with an updated silhouette. They weathered and stained the leather upper, returned the original star and chevron side panel detail, and added the original release date (1976) to tongue. The shoe also features a distressed and recreated outsole.
We like this shoe the best, because you can rock this with jeans and when you show up, they look and feel so old in every detail that no one will believe you that they're not from your vintage-vintage-vintage stash.
