The original: The New York Rens wore this shoe as they played in the Renaissance Ballroom on 138th and Seventh in Harlem, and while they barnstormed around the country, pioneering the game of basketball.
The story is that a researcher at Converse found an original (size 9 )and replicated the shoe down to its worn outsole, ankle reinforcement tape, and wool lining.
Converse also distressed the signature patch and added the shoe's vintage year (1933) to the tongue.
What we like here is you can rock these to a party and spend all night tellin' stories without leavin' your spot. Why chase when you can let the honeys come over to you (also means less wear and tear on the kicks)!
