The Alpha Physical Culture Club was America's first all-black athletic club, formed in Harlem in 1904. The club was comprised primarily of West Indian immigrants, mostly from Jamaica and the Danish West Indies (now the U.S. Virgin Islands).

The Alpha Physical Culture Club basketball team was known as the "Alpha Big Five."
